Village Idiot Enters The Fray - We Have History

Village Idiot or “VI” to his friends—or at least people who pretend to be his friends—and I go back to the Season 2 Nexus Finals. I know of no more accomplished press Diplomacy player (note: sorry umble), but then again, I don’t know many press Diplomacy players. I think he’s insightful, brilliant, scary, masterful, and a genuine genius of Diplomacy. He’s also cracked my code. Here’s his on-point psychoanalysis:

Ouch. That’s fair comment, and it’s accuracy hit me pretty hard. I mean, it’s true. I do spin a lot of plates at once, and then when they start falling I feel bad that I prioritize some over others. I hope he likes me now. :)

The guy is insightful as hell. If anyone can turn around Italy’s position, it’s him.

Notice how he called me “brother” in response to the announcement. Ha! Now he’s using my tricks. He wants me to think he likes me. It’s a Jedi mind thing. Anyway, in our one game together, it is fair to say we did not get along.  The long and the short of it is like this: He attacked me. We made peace. I stabbed him. We did not make peace.

Instead, we spent one long Saturday afternoon in an epic bomb-throwing contest. These are mere snippets, and I tried to be fair to both sides, but then again, this isn’t his blog :).
