F05 Negotiations - Trying To Stave off Doom

I can support Venice against the Austrian attack, but for how long. Italy’s messaging caused me to lose the Mao to England. We have each betrayed each other once so there is no trust. All I have is the enigmatic Germany, and hope that the new Italy can steer the ship in a different direction. Austria immediately reaches out:

I demur because I do not see how working with Austria leads to anything but my eventual destruction given his continued cooperation with Russia. I reach out to England:

So, that’s an option, but is it a good option? And, would England do it? I reach out to Germany to see if he would be open to working with England.

Meanwhile, I tell England to the convoy, but I don’t intend to follow through. I’m fairly certain he takes Portugal and I suffer no disband.
